Doing Albion Jeune

Albion Jeune a new contemporary art gallery opened this month founded by the new art rockstar to watch in London town, Lucca Hue-Williams. Based in Fitzrovia, the inaugural exhibition features works from contemporary artist, Esben Weile Kjær. Lucky art world insiders were treated to an immersive experience at 180 Strand.

Esben’s work delves into the intriguing realm of identity politics in the age of ever-evolving new media. Through captivating performances, innovative installations, and mesmerising stained-glass creations, he explores how his generation constructs their sense of self in a world dominated by popular culture and technology.

The gallery presents a curated artist-led programme from its roster of emerging internationally recognised artists, many of whom have significant institutional exhibition history. With a commitment to the continued survival of a truly ‘global art world,’ the gallery will be established as a platform for cultural exchange.

Albion Jeune will operate an international roaming presentation through peer partnerships. The gallery will present a wide range of exhibitions, a public programme, and publications. We can’t wait to see what comes next.
