This week’s Culturally Curious was to ‘The Long Now’ at Saatchi Gallery, curated by Philippa Adams and supported by De Beers London.

‘The Long Now’ celebrates Saatchi Gallery’s 40th anniversary, showcasing new works by iconic artists closely associated with the Gallery’s dynamic history, alongside fresh voices from a new generation.

‘The Long Now’ takes its title from a concept focused on fostering long-term thinking. It challenges today’s throwaway culture with artists addressing issues from our time such as climate change, new technologies, and human displacement.

Founder, Katy Wickremesinghe, caught up with artists Chris Levine, Carolina Mazzolari, Henry Hudson, Conrad Shawcross, Petroc Sesti and Martine Poppe to explore themes prevalent throughout 40 years of contemporary art.
