Patron of Art Homage to Peggy Guggenheim Limited Edition 888 Mont Blanc Fountain Pen
£8,000

As summer begins to wind down, London gears up for another jam-packed season of events, openings, launches and parties. Keep your diary up to date with this limited edition 888 fountain pen, Mont Blanc’s homage to the legendary art collector Peggy Guggenheim. The pattern on the cap and barrel is inspired by her modern art collection, while the straight shape of the cap, barrel and clip are inspired by the geometric lines of the Art Deco movement. Look closely at the cap ring and you’ll see engraved lion heads, a nod to the decorative lions found at the Palazzo Venier dei Leoni, Peggy’s former residence on the Grand Canal. The nib design, meanwhile, features dog paws which recall those of her 14 beloved Lhasa Apso dogs. It’s time to plan for September in style.

Euphoria by The Rug Company x Sarabande
£3,773

To celebrate its 25th anniversary, The Rug Company has teamed up with Sarabande on a collection of five new designs based on the works of Sarabande alumni Castro Smith, Michaela Yearwood-Dan, Stephen Doherty, Mircea Teleaga and Shinta Nakakima. The Rug Company worked closely with each of the five artists to transpose their vision into floor rugs crafted from silk and wool. Of the five designs, we’re particularly taken by Michaela Yearwood-Dan’s Euphoria, featuring coloured botanical motifs around a centre of pure wool. The vibrant border evokes a sense of elation, while the nude centre symbolises the emptiness that can often follow. Just love.

New Balance x Bryant Giles 2002R
£140

New Balance is having a moment. The Boston-based brand counts Kaia Gerber, Tom Holland and Leonardo DiCaprio among its fans and has seen sneaker sales rise by over 100 per cent since January 2021. This surge in popularity is in part due to clever celebrity seeding and savvy partnerships with the likes of Ronnie Fieg, Bricks & Wood and the American designer Joe Freshgoods. Dropping this week is its collaboration collection with the Los Angeles-based artist Bryant Giles. Inspired by his own pair of customized, classic grey 992s, Giles has reimagined the 2002R, adding embroidered facial features to the olive canvas and text that reads ‘what now?’ to the heel. So, who’ll be the lucky recipient?
