Head to Sotheby’s for the long-anticipated immersion into the world of The King of Rock, Freddie Mercury. An exhibition that reveals a new side of the cultural icon and presents a more personal side of Mercury’s life, for the first time in history, you can peek inside Mercury’s private collection and be witness to the starring stage costumes, handwritten lyrics, fine and decorative arts, Japanese art, and a trove of his personal belongings.
Following a world tour that has been displayed in New York, Los Angeles and Hong Kong, this blockbuster lands in London 4 August, with six auctions taking place early September. The highlight of the evening sale being the legendary singer’s manuscript for ‘Bohemian Rhapsody’. Rumours have it that the manuscript could reach over £1,000,000 at Hammer – it’s destined to be a showstopper.
Before then, channel your inner rock star and peek behind the curtain at Sotheby’s.
