The Wick are big advocates of mental health awareness as many readers know – and we love this new LUAP project curated by Guerin Projects in partnership with Nikon, which will see a portion of proceeds donated to mental health charity Mind.

Life Lines brings together sixteen large-scale works by the artist, with a dramatic departure from his typical style: photorealism oil paintings mixed with abstraction exploring themes of mental health and self-perception, and evoking the fragmented nature of identity in the contemporary age.

LUAP’s new body of work has been three years in the making. He worked with sitters as they shared their stories with the artist, painting them in his abstract brushwork to deeply emotive effect.
