Viewing London Sculpture Week 2026

Sculpture steps outside.

London Sculpture Week returns for its fifth edition this September, bringing five of the capital’s major public art initiatives together for nine days of sculpture across the city. The Fourth Plinth, Frieze Sculpture, East Bank, Sculpture in the City and The Line each offer a different route through London, with free and ticketed events running alongside the works themselves.

Unveiled last week in Trafalgar Square was Tschabalala Self’s ‘Lady in Blue’, the 16th Fourth Plinth commission. Over in The Regent’s Park, the 14th edition of Frieze Sculpture places work by 11 international artists across the English Gardens, with curator Fatoş Üstek leading both daytime and after-dark tours during the week.

The programme travels well beyond the park. ‘A Taste of Sculpture in the City’ pairs a walking tour led by Stella Ioannou with canapés inspired by works in the City’s current sculpture trail. At East Bank, a guided walk looks back over 14 years of public art around Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, while The Line offers a slower route through east London with a free wellbeing walk along its waterways.

On 25 September, attention turns to The Warburg Institute for ‘Reframing Monumentality’, the third London Sculpture Week symposium. This year’s discussion asks what a monument can mean now. With sculpture spread across the capital, even a familiar walk might hold a surprise. Don’t miss it.

The Wick is excited to be a media partner for London Sculpture Week 2026.
