Maeve Gilmore Dinah Tea Towel
£15

Get into the spirit of Halloween with this limited-edition tea towel, exclusive to the House of Voltaire, featuring a sinister black cat by Maeve Gilmore, the British painter, writer and illustrator best known for her shrewd depictions of domestic life. Though she found success exhibiting in the 1930s, Gilmore later committed herself to the work of her husband, the writer and poet Mervyn Peake. In 2022, 39 years after her death, Studio Voltaire in London staged the first institutional show of her work, featuring 20 paintings, selected in consultation with her family. Never has there been a better time to spread word of her remarkable artistry. Add to basket now.
