Forces of Nature, the first iteration of Royal Salute’s The Art of Wonder Collection, pays homage to the age-old craft of whisky making and comprises a limited-edition series of collectible sets conceived in collaboration with British artist Kate MccGwire. Each of the 21 sets includes a bespoke sculpture by MccGwire made of pheasant feathers and a handblown decanter of 53-year-old blend of Royal Salute, decorated with hand-engraved gold feathers. The set is presented inside a Scottish oak cabinet crafted by John Galvin Design. ‘The particular feathers that I’ve used resonated very well with the colour of whisky,’ MccGwire has said. ‘There are parallels between my work and the whisky making process — starting with a humble ingredient, we arrive at an end result that’s really quite magical.’
