Objects Spring/ Summer 2022 Prêt-à-Portea at The Berkeley

The most stylish tea in town is back. And we’re already licking our lips. Conceived by the Berkeley’s head pastry chef Mourad Khiat, this season’s collection of couture cakes reimagines S/S 22 runway looks by Schiaparelli, Gucci and Lanvin, among others.

Crowing the cakewalk is Oscar de la Renta’s orange gown crafted with apricot bavarois, salted Manuka honey and apricot ganache, topped with a meringue frill. Also turning heads is the Michael Kors Victoria sponge handbag, wrapped in an Opalys chocolate cylinder with flowers intricately piped with lime butter cream. You’ll also see Gucci’s pink silk tuxedo reimagined in bourbon vanilla mousse and Emmanuel sponge, and Lanvin’s towering floral platform heels crafted from chocolate biscuit. These bite-size masterpieces will be flooding Insta feeds before you know it, so make your booking sharpish!
